Get Rid of Pest Geese!

Got Geese?

Canada Geese are grazers of lawns, shrubs, bushes and other vegetation. An adult goose will feed for 12 hours a day quickly decimating your lawn and shrubs. So how do you get rid of geese?

Goose Repellent:

One of the best ways to keep pest geese off your property is to use a liquid goose repellent.  Goose repellent is made of a food grade grape extract that when sprayed on the lawn, shrubs and other vegetation; that the geese do not like the flavor.  If the geese do not have a food source they will move on to an area that does.

Applying Goose Repellent:

Goose repellent is easily applied using a hand held sprayer.  Simply mix one part concentrate with 12 parts water and spray on the effected areas.  It is best to apply goose repellent BEFORE the geese are a problem.  Once geese begin to nest and have offspring, it is almost impossible to get them to leave unitl the young are grown.  It is recommended to apply goose repellent as soon as the lawn begins to grow in the spring, apply twice before mowing the lawn.

The Canada Goose

The Canada Goose is distinguished by it's black head and white neck.  They are native to North America, breeding in Canada and the northern US.  They usually build their nests near water in an elevated area.

Canada Geese populations have grown substantially in some areas, giving them the distinction of pest birds.  the removal of natural predators and the abundance of safe, man-made bodies of water has made this growth possible.
