Why get rid of geese?
Canada geese have been losing their habitats over the years, so they now insist on sharing our spaces such as yards, green belts, golf courses and athletic fields. Not only is thier loud honking a nuisance, but the waste they leave behind can be dangerous. One goose leaves behind about one pound of droppings a day. These droppings are shippery and potentially dangerous.
Pest geese also can desimate a lawn in no time. Geese will spend up to 12 hours a day feeding, and even longer right before the migration time.
Getting Rid of the Geese
One way to get rid of geese, is to use a goose repellent on the lawn or feeding source before the geese arrive. Goose repellents usually contain a food grade substance made from grape extract. The geese do not like the taste of the lawn, so they will move on to a spot that has a better food sourse.
Goose Control Sonics
One easy way to get rid of geese is by using a goose control sonic. The goose sonic units play loud goose distress calls as well as predator calls for two minutes and then a silent time of 10 minutes. When the geese hear the distress calls they will naturally be frightened and leave the area for one that is precieved as safer.
Canada Geese are herbivors, eating lawns, bushes and other plants from your yard. Getting rid of the geese can save your investment in gardening and lawncare.
